<h3>Purpose</h3>
<p>The purpose of this text is to diagnose the degree to which risk management is embedded in enterprise management system, and in particular to identify risk prevention activities taken in different management domains by enterprises listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, representing the following three sectors: financial services, construction, and IT.</p>
</sec>
<sec>
<h3>Design/methodology/approach</h3>
<p>The research was carried out using a triangulation of research methods. The following research methods were used: analysis of the content of source documentation generated by the analyzed enterprises, one-stage logical classification, exemplification, and comparative analysis. The research involved 107 enterprises listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and representing the sectors of financial services, construction, and IT.</p>
</sec>
<sec>
<h3>Findings</h3>
<p>The main conclusion resulting from the research is that risk management is firmly rooted in enterprise management systems, which manifests itself in the presence of measures taken against risk in various management domains, such as strategic, operational, financial, quality, human resources, project, investment, and innovation management. According to the obtained results, the enterprises under analysis the most often apply risk management measures in the areas of strategic management, operational management, and financial management.</p>

<sec>
<h3>Originality/value</h3>
<p>The main added value of the results of the conducted research is the presentation of the management domains in which risk prevention activities are located and the identification of the analyzed enterprises’ specific preventive measures that fall within different management domains and allow the perception of risk management as an integrator of all processes carried out in the enterprise.</p>

The Embedment of Risk Management in Enterprise Management System

<h3>Purpose</h3>
<p>Agricultural technologies (agri-techs) have focused on developing the AI perspective of human-AI interaction rather than human perceptions and responses. A lack of understanding of their employees’ behavioral responses when interacting with advanced technologies can lead to unexpected problems in the future. Drawing on the theoretical perspective of advanced user engagement, this paper examines the impact of five different technostressors on user engagement and, consequently, user experience.</p>
</sec>
<sec>
<h3>Design/methodology/approach</h3>
<p>For data collection, 464 participants from the U.S. and Asian (Singaporean) agri-tech sectors were interviewed via an electronic survey.</p>
</sec>
<sec>
<h3>Findings</h3>
<p>The U.S. study showed that techno-overload, techno-complexity, and techno-uncertainty were positively related to user engagement (t = 2.609; t = 6.998, and t = 6.013, respectively), whereas techno-invasion and techno-uncertainty were negatively correlated with user engagement (t = –2.167 and t = –3.119, respectively). The Singapore study showed that techno-overload, techno-complexity, and techno-invasion were negatively related to user engagement (t = –2.185, t = –2.765; t = –5.062, respectively), while techno-insecurity and techno-uncertainty surprisingly showed nonlinear correlations with user engagement. In both studies, user engagement is positively related to user experience (t = 2.009 for the U.S. study and t = 2.887 for the Singapore study).</p>
</sec>
<sec>
<h3>Originality/value</h3>
<p>First, this paper provides agri-techs with a modern framework to better predict the behavioral responses of their employees when managing AI. Second, this paper expands the equation of change in the discipline of change management by introducing the dimension of readiness.</p>

Examining User Engagement and Experience in Agritech

<h3>Purpose</h3>
<p>This review paper identifies and compares models of inter-organizational relationship development that have evolved in qualitative studies and then proposes an original, situational framework for the evolution of inter-organizational relationships over time.</p>
</sec>
<sec>
<h3>Design/methodology/approach</h3>
<p>Methodologically, this paper follows a systematic approach and uses metasynthesis of prior qualitative research as a reviewing technique.</p>
</sec>
<sec>
<h3>Findings</h3>
<p>The analysis of prior qualitative investigations reveals the lack of consistency among authors referring to the number and specificity of phases, with no agreement about the trajectory of relationship development (its linearity, looping of phases, dynamics, start and end points).</p>
</sec>
<sec>
<h3>Originality/value</h3>
<p>As its main theoretical contribution, this paper offers a multipath framework covering four phases of relationship development: (1) initiation and initial development, (2) development, (3) maintenance, and (4) dissolution, with three possible subphases to each of them (active, passive, and re-activated). From the managerial perspective, the developed framework may broaden managers’ understanding and awareness of the different approaches to modeling the trajectory of the inter-organizational relationship life cycle and configuration of its particular phases.</p>

 The International Journal of Contemporary Management (IJCM) aims to contribute to the development of research, new insights and the challenges to current thinking around the field of contemporary management.
