Fibres & Textiles in Eastern Europe (ISSN 1230-3666, e-ISSN 2300-7354) is an international open access, peer-reviewed bimonthly scientific journal devoted to current scientific issues in the field of fibres, textiles, fibre-grade polymers, biopolymers, and fibrous products, as well as general economic problems of textile industry worldwide. It constitutes a forum for the exchange of knowledge and the establishment of mutual contacts for cooperation between scientific centres, as well as between science and industry worldwide.

The journal is owned by The Łukasiewicz-Łódź Institute of Technology located in Łódź, Poland.

The journal will publish high-quality research aimed at increasing knowledge of production and processing of fibre-forming polymers, technology of natural and man-made fibres, textiles and fibrous products including paper products. Also bio- and nano-technology, biodegradation and environmental protection is within the scope of our interests.

We only accept original articles which do not violate any author or patent rights of other persons, and have not been already published or submitted for publication elsewhere. We actively check the submitted manuscripts by screening them for plagiarism.

All submitted manuscripts selected as suitable for Fibres & Textiles in Eastern Europe journal are subjected to a double-blind peer-review process in order to ensure the high quality of published articles.

Publication Fees

  1. The cost of publishing an article is EUR 100 net for each page of the magazine, with the minimum fee for publishing an article being EUR 300 net.
  2. Within 14 days of receiving information about the acceptance of the article by the editorial office, the Author will pay EUR 300 to the Publishing House's account as an advance payment for the publication of the article.
  3. After paying the advance payment, the Publishing House will issue an advance invoice.
  4. All costs of bank transfers are the responsibility of the Author.
  5. In the event of failure to pay the advance payment in the above-mentioned deadline, the Publisher returns the article to the Author and takes no further action.
  6. If the Author pays an incomplete advance payment, the publishing house will inform the Author about the need to pay the missing part of the advance payment within 7 days under pain of refusing to take further action. If the missing part is not paid within the additional deadline, the part of the advance payment paid will be refunded, subject to the provisions of point 4.
  7. After the entire advance payment is recorded and the article is finally prepared for publication, the Publishing House will send the Author information about the final fee for publishing the article. If the final publication fee is higher than the amount of the advance payment, the Author is obliged to pay the missing amount within 14 days of receiving the information, under penalty of refusal to publish. In the event of non-payment, sections 8-9 apply.
  8. If the article is not published within 12 months of the Author paying the advance payment, the Author is entitled to a refund of the advance payment on the following terms:
    1. 100% refund of the advance payment if the Publisher does not obtain the required reviews,
    2. 50% refund of the advance payment if the Author applies to withdraw the article from the editorial office and the Publishing House has not yet obtained all the required conclusive reviews.
  9. If the article has received the required number of reviews, both positive and negative, and has not been published for reasons attributable to the Author, including failure to pay the required publication fee, then the advance payment is not refundable.
  10. The advance payment that has not been returned in accordance with point 8 b) or 9 will be included in the remuneration for activities undertaken by the Publishing House in connection with the preparation of the article for publication.
  11. Archiving

    Sciendo archives the contents of this journal in Portico - digital long-term preservation service of scholarly books, journals and collections.

    Plagiarism Policy
