Sémantický a syntaktický status posesívneho datívu v štruktúrah s procesnými slovesami s významom atmosférického diania v slovenčine / Semantic and Syntactic Status of Possessive Dative in the Structures with Processional Verbs with Atmospheric Meaning in the Slovak Language

The study deals with the possessive dative (dative possessor) in sentence structures containing processional verbs with atmospheric meaning. Frequency distribution of dative possessor in structures with 36 atmospheric verbs was verified in the material of the Slovak National Corpus. The first part of the study focuses on the semantic parameters of dative possessor in confrontation with benefactive dative and results into proposal of distinction between 1. inherent benefactive dative and 2. possessive dative with secondary benefactive meaning. In the second part of the study conditions of syntactic obligatoriness and facultativeness of the dative possessor are analysed. The main purpose is to point out that syntactic obligatoriness and valency character of the dative possessor represent two different categories depending on the different criteria.
