Koroze a porucha na vozidle jako příčina dopravní nehody

Online veröffentlicht: 06 Aug 2015
Seitenbereich: 66 - 72

Zusammenfassung

Abstract

This article is dealing with such a group of traffic accidents in which a failure at vehicle could have been or actually was caused by some defect of a car part caused by corrosion. Up-to-date situation in terms of failures as causes of traffic accidents both in the Czech republic and abroad is described here and furthermore, the issue related to their assessment. In this contribution, there are described two possible situations which a traffic accident analyst can be confronted with. Firstly, it is corrosion as a failure that was the reason for an accident or secondly, it can be dealt with corrosion as an after-demage that makes assessing a possible failure unable. For both given areas, the examples of traffic accidents, that really happened, are given here – an experiment has been carried out in case of a brake system failure in which the cause was corrosion and this experiment should lead to explanation if there is a relation between the width of a pipe side and its outer diameter covered by corrosion that means if it was possible to foretell a safe width of a pipe side through assessing the corrosion covers on the surface of a pipe.

Polykrystalická diamantová vrstva: vhodná ochrana povrchu zirkoniových slitin?

Zusammenfassung

Abstract

The polycrystalline diamond layer (PCD) seems to be an appropriate protection reducing chemical activity of zirconium alloys. Its application could substantially enhance zirconium resistance against high-temperature corrosion and hydrogen absorption. This paper studies samples of zirconium alloys Zry-2 covered with a thin 300-nm PCD layer and exposed to steam at temperatures of 950 and 1150 °C. Transmission parameters and PCD layer morphology are studied using ex-situ electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The results imply that the corrosion rate of the Zry-2 zirconium alloy is lower under high temperature.

Zusammenfassung

Abstract

As all materials, paintings’ paint layers succumb to natural aging. The impact of external factors on these layered systems has never been studied systematically. The main goal of this paper was to study behaviour of aquarelles as a selected representative of a technique of painting on paper under the conditions of artificial aging usually used in paper degradation studies (artificial aging in the presence of NO2, artificial aging by humid heat and thermal aging). Samples of aquarelles on a hand-made paper and on wood kraft paper made from pigments (Prussian blue, French ochre, ultramarine, Brazilian wood and buckthorn) and gum Arabic. After the exposure to the conditions of artificial aging, the prepared samples were reported to have changed in terms of their optical properties (the general colour differentiation, UV-VIS reflex curves, electron microscopy) and chemical composition (changes in pH, x-ray diffraction analysis, ATR-FTIR spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy). Substantial changes were detected in the aquarelle samples containing verdigris pigment at all tested conditions of artificial aging associated with the detected changes of chemical composition. Significant impact of NO2 atmosphere on aquarelle samples with organic varnishes were experimentally proved, too.

Zusammenfassung

Abstract

The paper summarises the aspects of testing and influencing of reinforcement-concrete bond strength. It is focusing on the assessment of the extent of influence of the inevitable corrosion of the zinc coat in fresh concrete. The impact on concrete bond strength induced by evolving hydrogen and expanding zinc corrosion products is verified on plain steel bars. The zinc coat was produced by a conventional hot-dip galvanising technology. Standardised prism tests according to ČSN 73 1328 (“pull-out test”) were applied to test reinforcement-concrete concrete bond strength. The conclusion discusses also other impacts that might affect the cohesion progress, namely the impact of the contents of chromium (VI) compounds in the used concrete and the composition of the deposited coat.
