SUBMISSION PREPARATION CHECKLIST

All submissions must meet the following requirements in the Author Guidelines, as well as the following:

• The paper has not been published and/or submitted for publication elsewhere (except as an abstract to a scientific report).
• All authors are familiar and agree with the proposed text.
• All authors are familiar with the journal’s guidelines and policies outlined here and have followed them strictly.

COPYRIGHT NOTICE

During the online submission process, authors will be required to confirm that they agree with the following copyright notice before their submission is complete:

• I grant my consent to the Central Medical Library, Medical University – Sofia to publish my paper in full text open access on Sciendo (https://sciendo.com) under the Creative Commons License CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 Deed
• I grant my consent to the Central Medical Library, Medical University – Sofia to publish my paper in its online repository in full text open access.

Authors retain the copyright to their work. However, by submitting to this journal, they grant the journal an exclusive license to publish the article and to manage its commercial use.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

The names and email addresses entered during online submission will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

GROUNDS FOR DECLINING A MANUSCRIPT

A manuscript may be declined if the study was judged as too preliminary in nature or was in an inappropriate scientific area. Manuscripts may be rejected if the findings are not sufficiently novel, do not contain enough new information, due to lack of compliance with the Journal’s Author Guidelines or English language issues.

AUTHORSHIP CRITERIA

All listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the research in the manuscript, approved its claims, and agreed to be an author. We follow the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), including those defining the 4 criteria for authorship. Anyone who contributed to the research or manuscript preparation, but is not an author, should be acknowledged with their permission.

AUTHORSHIP OBLIGATIONS

The obligation of an author is to present a clear, honest, accurate, and complete account of the research performed. Each manuscript should describe a complete study or a completed phase of an extended study.
