Historyczne I Współczesne Modele Miast – Struktura I Różnice Funkcjonalne

The study examines models of cities, both historical and contemporary. The analysis focuses on the location, structure, and functions of city centers, downtown areas, and urban and suburban zones. For comparative purposes, the distribution of individual zones in the presented models is illustrated, with particular emphasis on the internal arrangement of functions performed within these areas. The aim of the article is to highlight differences in the functions of the analyzed areas and an attempt to generalize the directions of functional development of cities.
