Evidence-based screening of cardiovascular risks includes: - every 1-2 years, measuring the blood pressure of all your patients who are aged 18 or older; - regular assessment of cardio-vascular risk factors (smoking, alcohol intake, calculation of BMI, family history) for all your patients who are aged 18 or older; - lipid profile measurement every 5 years, in all your male patients who are aged 40 or older, and all your female patients who are aged 45 or older; - blood glucose measurement every 5 years for all your patients who are aged 45 or older, or sooner in patients with BMI ≥25 or who have additional risk factors. |
