Emerging and Disruptive Technologies – A Bibliometric Analysis

In recent years, the concepts of Emerging Technologies and Disruptive Technologies have seized the attention of both scientists and public policy makers. The work aims to bring clarifications regarding the two concepts but also to identify their commonalities. To this aim, we considered that the best method for identifying common aspects is the bibliometric analysis. For this purpose, we used VOSviewer Software, a particularly useful tool, which allows making numerous correlations specific to bibliometrics. The results can be useful to those who want to deepen their knowledge about the two concepts, but also to identify connected areas.
