Artificial Intelligence (AI), despite inherent constraints, has emerged as a transformative technology, advancing capabilities in domains that depend on pattern recognition, decision-making algorithms, computational problem-solving, content creation, and human-machine collaboration. Its impact is systemic, influencing the functioning, the environment and the governance of critical infrastructures and potentially driving strategic realignments in global economic and geopolitical power structures. This paper investigates the transformative role of AI in the evolution of business practices. It offers a novel framework by introducing a generalized model that delineates AI’s influence on organizational processes. The analysis leverages official documents and industry-specific reports to undertake a comparative evaluation of AI strategies across key regions, including the United States, the European Union, China, and other peripheral actors, with a focused application to the Romanian context. The results provide actionable insights into implementing AI-driven business transformations, emphasizing alignment with strategic priorities and compliance with evolving regulatory standards.
