In the context of the rapid evolution of autonomous technologies and the expansion of the use of small aerial drones (sUAS - small Unmanned Aerial Systems), we consider that military logistics is facing new challenges and opportunities. Thus, in this paper, we analyze the multifunctional impact of sUAS on the actions of logistical forces both from the perspective of supporting their operations through information collection, surveillance, rapid transport and protection of areas and routes, as well as from the perspective of the vulnerabilities generated by their use by the adversary. The main tactical scenarios in which sUAS can decisively influence logistical flows are highlighted, from the transportation and distribution of resources, to the securing of routes and the protection of warehouses. We also emphasize the need for doctrinal and operational adaptation of military logistics structures, in order to effectively integrate emerging technologies related to drone technology and to develop adequate countermeasures. In the conclusions, we emphasize that the controlled and intelligent integration of sUAS into the military logistics system can provide a significant operational advantage, provided that there is adequate protection against symmetric and asymmetric threats in both hybrid and nonlinear warfare, as well as in low, medium or high intensity warfare.
