The one-dimensional analysis of orthotropic plate under cylindrical bending in thermal environment is studied and introduced in this work. In the analysis three cases are considered. In the first case angle between fibre and x axis is zero degree. In the second and third cases the angle between fibres and x axis are 450 and 900 respectively. The effect of fibre orientation on thermal stresses and displacements has been studied and presented in this paper. A higher plate theory (HPT) with cubic thickness coordinate as a shape function is used. The equations of motion are derived with the use of virtual work principal. A Navier’s technique is used in further solution. The stresses in x-z plane are evaluated by using equilibrium equations. The FORTRAN-77 software is used to develop a program to evaluate stresses in temperature field. The results obtained are discussed with first order theory (FPT) and classical theory (CPT) for different aspect ratios.
