The renovation and reuse of historical buildings not only helps to protect historical heritage but also promotes the development of tourism and cultural industries. The study combines web crawler technology and text mining technology based on the TF-IDF algorithm to capture art information related to the renovation of old buildings and cultural heritage protection from relevant articles and conducts in-depth perceptual analysis and sentiment analysis. On this basis, the balance measures of spatial reconstruction and cultural heritage protection in old building renovation are analyzed. Then, the evaluation index system is constructed and measured by using the G1-COWA combination assignment method to explore the balancing effect of spatial reconstruction and cultural heritage protection in the renovation of an old building. Components and perceptual evaluations related to the old building are the most important concerns, and both scholars and experts (64.84%) and the general public (72.65%) have a positive sentiment toward cultural heritage protection in the remodeling of old buildings. The overall score of the balanced effect of spatial reconstruction and cultural heritage protection of the old buildings in the sample is 6.570, which is a good level. Among them, the performance of improved use function, improved spatial environment, and improved social benefit is better. In the renovation of old buildings, it is necessary to pay attention to the balance of protection and renewal, integration and revitalization of cultural heritage to promote the balance and harmonious development of spatial reconstruction and cultural heritage protection.
