WSB Journal of Business and Finance

WSB Journal of Business and Finance is an international, peer-reviewed scientific journal publishing research primarily in three thematic areas: business, finance, and economics. The journal aims to promote innovative research that addresses contemporary challenges and provides actionable insights for academics, practitioners, and policymakers.

A core focus of the journal includes the rigorous exploration of:

• Business Management and Leadership: Insights into effective leadership strategies, organizational behavior, strategic management practices, and their impacts on business performance and sustainability.
• Corporate Finance and Sustainable Economics: Examination of corporate financial management, investment strategies, economic sustainability, corporate governance, and their roles in fostering economic stability and growth.
• Innovation and Technology in Business: Analysis of innovative practices, digital transformation, and technology-driven approaches enhancing business operations and financial performance.

The Journal promotes theoretical and applied research. The editorial aim is to publish original articles of interest to business academicians and practitioners. Research addressing one or several of the following issues will be of prime interest to the journal if it:

• generates novel insights into organizational dynamics, leadership effectiveness, and managerial decision-making processes;
• explores financial mechanisms and economic policies promoting corporate sustainability, responsible investing, and long-term economic resilience;
• investigates technological advancements and pedagogical innovations transforming business education and professional development;
• integrates interdisciplinary perspectives from information systems, organizational communication, and behavioral sciences relevant to core management and financial issues;
• provides actionable recommendations for improving business practices, financial stability, and educational outcomes within a globalized economic context.

The journal is published in English, and its primary version is online. Papers are double-blind peer-reviewed by scientists from foreign and Polish academic institutions.

WSB JBF publishes one issue annually and operates on a continuous publication model.

WSB JBF is an open-access journal that does not charge readers or their institutions for access. The open access supports the rights of users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles.

Manuscripts should be prepared in conformance with the journal’s template. All submissions should be sent electronically to the editor at redakcja@gdansk.merito.pl.

REJECTION RATE

• About 20%

WSB JBF considers three types of papers:

• Research – that presents the author’s output within primary research;
• Case studies – that present the experience from the application of existing methods or procedures and bring relevant findings that could be valuable for the research area;
• Review articles present the systematic review or comparative study of already known knowledge.

Fees and Sources of Financing

The editorial board does not impose publication fees on authors for their contributions to the WSBJBF. As an open-access journal, we ensure that all articles are freely accessible, allowing users and institutions to read, download, and share the content without a subscription or purchase.

The journal does not publish any advertisements.

The WSBJBF had the privilege of receiving funding from the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, per agreement number 741/P-DUN/2018. This grant, designated for 2018-2019, supported dissemination activities that advance scientific knowledge and elevate the journal's scholarly and international stature.

The journal's operations are financially supported solely by subsidies from the University WSB Merito in Gdańsk. These funds are instrumental in maintaining the journal's commitment to fostering open scientific communication and excellence in publication.

Archiving

Sciendo archives the contents of this journal in Portico - digital long-term preservation service of scholarly books, journals and collections.

Plagiarism Policy

The editorial board is participating in a growing community of Similarity Check System's users to ensure that the content published is original and trustworthy. Similarity Check is a medium that allows for comprehensive manuscripts screening, aimed to eliminate plagiarism and provide a high standard and quality peer-review process.
