Business Ethics and Leadership (BEL) is scientific peer-reviewed journal. This journal is published quarterly (four times a year) by Sumy State University.

On April 1, 2017, Business Ethics and Leadership (BEL) journal was published. The main objective of this journal is to promote economic knowledge, international dissemination of theoretical and empirical research, and the best global practices regarding ethical standards and leadership in business, trade, management, marketing, public communications, finance, public administration and international economic relations.

The scope of the journal covers selected issues related to:

  • Modern international and national paradigms for the formation of business ethics and leadership in society, intercultural and transnational aspects of business ethics and leadership;
  • Honesty, transparency, standards, trust, reputation, fairness and ethics in business, trade, management, marketing, public communications, finance, public administration and international economic relations;
  • Leadership and innovation in business, trade, management, marketing, public communications, finance, public administration and international economic relations;
  • Corporate social responsibility and social entrepreneurship;
  • Introduction of ethical standards and modern democratic practices in socio-economic processes to ensure social justice, gender and social equality, protection of corporate and personal rights and freedoms;
  • Behavioral economics, harmonization of interests of stakeholders, public-private and intersectoral business partnership;
  • Effective and ethical business communications and public relations, social and ethical marketing;
  • Professional ethics and standards of financial institutions and regulators, trust and reputation in financial relations, behavioral finance, non-financial corporate reporting, transparency of finance, accounting and taxation, international experience and standards to prevent unethical, unfair and non-transparent financial relations;
  • Management of human resources, management, leadership psychology, organizational culture, motivation, professional ethics;
  • Client-oriented business management, quality of services, protection of consumer interests.

We welcome submissions from these fields in the following technical topics (but not limited to):

  • the banking sector, bank management, banking system, accounting and taxation, banking and insurance
  • economic growth/development, public administration, business ethics
  • economics, macroeconomic, international economic relations, green marketing
  • education, tourism, academic integrity, professional ethics, e-learning
  • political science, diplomacy

The Journals self-archiving policy is presented on the eSSUIR (Electronic Sumy State University Institutional Repository), Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, SHERPA/RoMEO site.

The editors check the submitted materials for authenticity using the StrikePlagiarism software product to detect plagiarism. Materials submitted for publication in the journal “Business Ethics and Leadership” cannot be published in other scientific publications. Journal has a system of double-blind peer review. It means that reviewers and authors remain anonymous.

Sciendo archives the contents of this journal in Portico - digital long-term preservation service of scholarly books, journals and collections.

Before submitting the manuscript, we strongly recommend the authors to study the article submission guidelines and comply with these requirements.

To be published in the journal applicants should use the following template.

Articles should be from 3000 words in length. Articles are normally between 4000 and 6000 words long, but longer articles will be accepted if the topic demands this length.

All submissions should be formatted in the following way: typewritten in 11 Times New Roman, double-spaced, no page numbers, no page breaks, and with no tables or figures included within the text. Article files should be provided in Microsoft Word format.

When submitting an article for consideration, it is suggested to arrange it in several separate files: 1 ‒ Title page, 2 ‒ Main text of the paper, 3 – duplicate all graphic and illustrative materials and formulas in formats that can be edited (for example, Excel).

The payment for the scientific editing of the article is 1500 UAH according to the official exchange Rates by NBU. The payment does not depend on the size of an article. The journal is double-blind peer reviewed.
