Structure and Environment

Structure and Environment provides an international forum for the dissemination of innovative and original research and development in the fields of Architecture and Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Material Engineering.

The quarterly undertakes the mission of disseminating modern scientific and technical achievements to support the development of infrastructure, while also emphasizing the creative role of the community of engineers and scientists active in the field of civil and environmental engineering. The journal serves as a forum for scientists from various countries to share innovative ideas and solutions.

The journal publishes a wide range of innovative research and applied science papers, which describe laboratory and, to a limited extent, numerical investigations or reports on full-scale projects. Multi-part papers are discouraged. These studies concern the design, construction, and maintenance of structures, engineering and construction facilities, transportation infrastructure, as well as environmental engineering and renewable energy sources. The scope of Structure and Environment includes, but is not limited to, materials (such as cement, concrete reinforcement, bricks and mortars, additives, recycled materials, bituminous materials and railway material applications), NDT and monitoring of new facilities, repair, and maintenance of bridges, high-rise buildings, dams, civil engineering structures, silos, highway pavements, tunnels, water containment structures, sewers, roofing, housing, and railways. With the approval of the Editorial Board, reviews and discussion papers are also printed.

With the pressure on engineers, architects, and contractors to optimize, use new materials and up-to-date technologies, Structure and Environment can serve as a source of information for professionals in the field. Sharing knowledge will contribute to efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness in the world markets. The journal is particularly intended for specialists and researchers concerned with investigations into or specification of building materials.

Structure and Environment, a quarterly journal, has been published by the Kielce University of Technology since 2009. It uses Editorial Manager for online submission and manuscript tracking https://www.editorialmanager.com/sae/default1.aspx. Papers are published in English and are assigned digital object identifier DOI:10.30540/sae.

Structure and Environment is an Open Access journal that allows unrestricted and free-of-charge access to its content at www.sae.tu.kielce.pl and www.sciendo.com./journal/SAE .

The authors do not bear any publication costs.　

In 2021, Structure and Environment was entered into the Polish Ministry of Education and Science Journals list with a score of 40 points. Committed to ensuring the high quality of our publications, we seek to be covered by abstracting and indexing services such as Scopus and Clarivate Analytics.

The content of the quarterly is indexed by more 10 ten bibliographic databases and made available in the collection of peer-reviewed interdisciplinary scientific articles, e-Publikacje Nauki Polskiej.
