Journal of Nematology is the official technical and scientific communication publication of the Society of Nematologists since 1969. The journal publishes original papers on all aspects of basic, applied, descriptive, theoretical or experimental nematology and adheres to strict peer-review policy. Other categories of papers include invited reviews, research notes, abstracts of papers presented at annual meetings, and special publications as appropriate.

From volume 2019 the journal is published in a continuous format.

New Article Processing Charges (APC) – January 1, 2023

As of January 1, 2023, all articles submitted to the Journal of Nematology will be subject to the following APC. APCs will be $400 USD for Society of Nematologists members, and
$600 USD for non-members for full articles and $200 for short articles. You can join the Society as a new member at: https://nematologists.org/join-us.
APC waivers may be granted if all authors of a paper are from low-income countries as defined by the United Nations. Only accepted articles will be subject to the APC, which will be due prior to final publication of the article.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content under the Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Under the Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license users are free to share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapt the work (remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially) if the contribution was properly attributed and all of the changes indicated.

ABOUT SOCIETY

The Society of Nematologists is an international organization formed to advance the science of nematology in both its fundamental and economic aspects. To serve this purpose, the Society of Nematologists acts as an agency for the exchange of information, holds regular meetings, and promotes and extends knowledge in all phases of nematology. The Society operates on a nonprofit basis exclusively for the accomplishment of these educational and scientific goals.
