Journal of Economics and Management (JEM) is an internationally recognized, peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary journal that covers a wide range of topics in economics, management, business, and finance. The journal also explores certain information systems and technology, sociological, and communication issues within these areas. The journal provides a forum for academics and professionals to share the latest developments and advances in the knowledge and practice of these fields. It aims to foster the exchange of ideas on a range of important subjects and to provide a stimulus for research and further development of science.
JEM publishes original high-quality papers that contribute to the development of conceptual, theoretical, and empirical research. Generally, JEM accepts three types of papers: Original papers, Review papers, and Research notes.
Papers range from empirical studies with practical application, to examinations of theoretical and methodological issues, and reviews of the literature in economics, management, and finance.
JEM publishes one issue per year and operates on a continuous publication model.
All submissions are double-blind refereed. In this model, the reviewers don’t know the paper's authors, and the authors don’t know who the reviewers are either. The deadline for sending the review is 35 days. In the case of a revision, it is 15 days. Reviewers do not receive a salary for their work. More details about the review process can be found in the document titled Instructions for Reviewers.
To publish in JEM, authors are not required to pay an Article Processing Charge.
JEM is the official journal of the University of Economics in Katowice, Poland. It was founded in 2003.
