Journal of Economics and Management (JEM) is an internationally recognized, peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary journal that covers a wide range of topics in economics, management, business, and finance. The journal also explores certain information systems and technology, sociological, and communication issues within these areas. The journal provides a forum for academics and professionals to share the latest developments and advances in the knowledge and practice of these fields. It aims to foster the exchange of ideas on a range of important subjects and to provide a stimulus for research and further development of science.
JEM publishes original high-quality papers that contribute to the development of conceptual, theoretical, and empirical research. Generally, JEM accepts three types of papers: Original papers, Review papers, and Research notes.
Papers range from empirical studies with practical application, to examinations of theoretical and methodological issues, and reviews of the literature in economics, management, and finance.
JEM publishes one issue per year and operates on a continuous publication model.
All submissions are double-blind refereed.
To publish in JEM, authors are not required to pay an Article Processing Charge.
JEM is the official journal of the University of Economics in Katowice, Poland. It was founded in 2003.
The budget funds allocated to the project Development of Scientific Journals for JEM amount to PLN 70,406 for 2022-2024. The project aims at supporting JEM in the implementation of its strategy based on the three basic values:
the high publication standards;
the prestige in the international scientific community; and
the impact on scientific discourse and science progress.

Sciendo archives the contents of this journal in Portico - digital long-term preservation service of scholarly books, journals and collections.

The editorial board is participating in a growing community of Similarity Check System's users in order to ensure that the content published is original and trustworthy. Similarity Check is a medium that allows for comprehensive manuscripts screening, aimed to eliminate plagiarism and provide a high standard and quality peer-review process.
