The Journal of Critical Care Medicine aims to publish high quality double-blind peer-reviewed articles integrating a broad range of topics from the entire spectrum of Critical Care Medicine and related pathologies of critical care patients (cardiology, surgery, internal medicine, pneumology, infectious diseases, organ transplantation, emergency medicine, neurology, anesthesiology, etc).

The journal will consider for publication suitable articles offering new insights into pathophysiological mechanisms, diagnostic and treatment in critical care medicine, from basic to clinical academic research, including also relevant topics on biomedical research, health policy research, medical technology development and ethical concerns.

Publication fee

The publication fee for an accepted article is 150 EUR.

Why subscribe and read

The journal addresses the entire community of specialists involved in treating the critically ill patients, with a special focus on the scientific community from Central and Eastern European countries, aiming to provide studies on critical care medicine with a new regional perspective, specific for this part of Europe but not restricted to it. The journal will also publish international, overseas articles that would discuss current topics in peri-operative and critical care medicine, contributing to a better understanding of the diseases leading to critical illnesses and reflecting international models of care for these conditions.

Why submit

The journal will stimulate publication of research that could be easily translated into clinical practice. The diversity of published articles, from "letter to editor" to most complex scientific research, will ensure various possibilities for knowledge dissemination.

Archiving

Sciendo archives the contents of this journal in Portico - digital long-term preservation service of scholarly books, journals and collections.
