We are pleased to inform you that LOGI – Scientific Journal on Transport and Logistics has been indexed by ELSEVIER, Scopus since 2019.
History
Even though the history of the LOGI – Scientific Journal on Transport and Logistics dates back to 2010, fundamentals of an idea of such a journal ensued from the international conference with similar title which started in 1997, and since then, it is regularly organized on the ground of the Institute of Technology and Business in České Budějovice (annually or every other year), Jan Perner Transport Faculty (University of Pardubice) or College of Logistics, Přerov.
The need to publish a special scientific journal resulted from tasks of participants in a conference and progressively resulted into present form of the journal. The reason of establishing the LOGI – Scientific Journal on Transport and Logistics also lay in an absence of special periodical focused on science and research related to various topics of technology, engineering, management, as well as the very theory of transport and logistics.

Transport and logistics represent significant part of the overall costs of companies and are integral part of the world economy. By streamlining transport-logistics processes in each transport mode and logistics operation, it is possible to determine production capacities of enterprises as well as desirable satisfaction of customer's requirements more efficiently.
The demand for freight transport every year increases significantly. Currently, to solve this issue, there are two main challenges, i.e. transport-logistics organization and transport-logistics technology. The first one is an initial step to make feasibility, i.e. actual cornerstone for new challenges. The second aspect refers individual techniques and procedures of how to streamline transport-logistics processes. To successfully optimize and subsequently carry out these processes, it is necessary to define individual operations needed to ensure the entire process. Operations may be diversified into specific levels, and thus helping towards better orientation in such processes. After all, the current crucial issue is to address the sustainability of technological developments in assuring the quality of life for future generations.
Potential topics and fields of the LOGI – Scientific Journal on Transport and Logistics encompass but are not limited to as follows:
- fundamentals of the transport systems (road, railway, inland waterways, maritime, air as well as intermodal transport) and logistics operation;
- economics and management in transport and logistics;
