<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><sec><h3>Background and objectives</h3><p>Parents of children with life-limiting diseases are central informal care providers. They fill out their role as co-producers of the health care system in different ways, as empirically reconstructed parent type's show. In this article, the heterogeneous social practice of physiotherapeutic care provision is reflected from the perspective of self-regulation theory. The aim is to identify starting points for how parental self-efficacy can be positively influenced by educational support.</p></sec><sec><h3>Method</h3><p>The types of parents reconstructed by means of the Documentary Method according to Ralf Bohnsack serve as a starting point for the theoretical consideration. First, the theory of self-regulation and findings from research on increasing parental self-efficacy are presented. In the following, we will discuss how parents of children with life-limiting illnesses regulate themselves or develop self-efficacy when taking over care. Finally, it is shown which findings result from the theoretical consideration for an educational concept development.</p></sec><sec><h3>Results</h3><p>This theory-guided consideration of empirically generated parent types shows that their self-perception and situation perception, motivation and level of participation, self-regulation processes and trained self-efficacy vary significantly. There is evidence that parent-oriented information, observation of peers in groups and the possibility of positive experiences have a positive influence on self-efficacy.</p></sec><sec><h3>Conclusion</h3><p>These elements should be taken up in the development of educational intervention concepts for this target group and systematically tested for their effects.</p></sec></abstract>

Eine empirischfundierte und theoriegeleitete Konzeptentwicklung

<trans-abstract xml:lang="de" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><sec><h3>Hintergrund und Zielsetzung</h3><p>Eltern von Kindern mit lebenslimitierenden Erkrankungen sind zentrale informelle Versorgungsinstanz. Ihre Rolle als Ko-Produzenten des Gesundheitswesens füllen sie unterschiedlich aus, was empirisch rekonstruierte Elterntypen zeigen. In diesem Beitrag wird –anknüpfend an die Empirie – die heterogene soziale Praxis bei physiotherapeutischer Versorgungsübernahme aus der Perspektive der Selbstregulationstheorie reflektiert. Ziel ist es, Anknüpfungspunkte zu identifizieren, wie elterliche Selbstwirksamkeit durch edukative Begleitung positiv beeinflusst werden kann.</p></sec><sec><h3>Methode</h3><p>Die mittels der Dokumentarischen Methode nach Ralf Bohnsack rekonstruierten Elterntypen dienen als Ausgangspunkt für die theoretische Betrachtung. Zunächst wird die Theorie der Selbstregulation und Erkenntnisse aus der Forschung zur Erhöhung elterlicher Selbstwirksamkeit vorgestellt. Im Folgenden wird darauf eingegangen, wie sich Eltern lebenslimitierend erkrankter Kinder bei Versorgungsübernahme selbst regulieren bzw. Selbstwirksamkeit entwickeln. Zum Schluss wird aufgezeigt, welche Erkenntnisse sich aus der theoretischen Betrachtung für eine edukative Konzeptentwicklung ergeben.</p></sec><sec><h3>Ergebnisse</h3><p>Diese theoriegeleitete Betrachtung der empirisch-generierten Elterntypen zeigt, dass deren Selbst- und Situationswahrnehmung, Motivation und Mitwirkungslevel, durchlaufene Selbstregulationsprozesse und ausgebildete Selbstwirksamkeit deutlich variieren. Es finden sich Hinweise darauf, dass elternorientierte Informationen, Beobachtung statusgleicher Erfahrungsträger in Gruppen und die Ermöglichung eigener positiver Erfahrungen die Selbstwirksamkeit positiv beeinflussen.</p></sec><sec><h3>Schlussfolgerung</h3><p>Diese Elemente sollten bei der Entwicklung edukativer Interventionskonzepte für diese Zielgruppe aufgegriffen und systematisch auf ihre Wirkungen hin geprüft werden.</p></sec></trans-abstract>
