<p>Heat and mass transfer properties of textile fabrics determine thermal comfort. This paper introduces a statistical study on the contribution of yarn fineness to the heat and mass transfer properties of single jersey cotton and polyester fabrics through relevant measurements. It is observed that yarn fineness affects those properties at different levels in differing fiber types.</p>
