Authors should aim to be as succinct as possible in their writing. While European Journal of Open, Distance and E-Learning does not impose a strict word count on articles, research articles should be between 4,500 and 8,000 words.

The manuscript should be anonymous and should include:

Title

Which incorporates the research design or for non-research studies: a description of what the article reports.

Abstract

Which should briefly summarize the aim, findings or purpose of the article.

Keywords

Five to ten keywords representing the main content of the article.

Main text

Which should contain the body of the article.

List of references

Which have to include the sources from your research.

Besides with the manuscript, the authors need to upload the Open Access License on the submission process.

The journal will provide a template if the article is accepted.

Review procedure

All submitted proposals are blind peer-reviewed by two referees. The first review level controls whether the basic requirements as expressed in these guidelines are respected. Predictably, the complete review procedure from acceptance to publication will last approximately 12-16 weeks (this may not be the case for contributions submitted during summer or Christmas holiday). You will receive a reply message confirming receipt of your contribution and indicating that all files are legible and can enter the review process. Authors can be asked to revise their contribution. Important revisions will result in a re-run of the referee-cycle. If minor changes are asked, we ask for a speedy return.
