<p>From a systemic point of view, it can be said that the natural environment is dynamic, constantly changing and evolving and directly influenced by natural or anthropogenic disturbances. As an integral part of the society, the military organization has an important role in the implementation of Romania’s environmental strategy. Consequently, the fulfilment of its functional tasks will be carried out in accordance with the incident normative framework, having as a priority the protection of the environment. In this vein, focus is placed on the respect of specific standards, as well as on the elimination of potential environmental risks that may occur during military actions. Specific military activities can cause significant environmental damage through the deterioration of environmental factors, i.e. soil degradation, water quality, environmental damage through the disposal of large quantities of waste, and degradation of flora.</p>
