As the capital of Romania and the country's most important urban and economic center, Bucharest represents a significant hub for the tourism industry. The labor market is dynamic, and in 2024, the number of job opportunities increased from one month to the next. October recorded a 15% increase in new job openings compared to September. Tourism, services, the food industry, and transportation were the most dynamic sectors. The structure of the labor force in tourism in Bucharest is influenced by economic, demographic, and social factors, as well as global trends in the industry. This analysis will examine the main characteristics of the labor force in tourism in Bucharest, focusing on essential aspects: the typology of the workforce, educational level and qualifications, working conditions, and the challenges and opportunities present today
