Stress concentrators play a crucial role in the mechanical behaviour of tensile specimens, significantly influencing their strength, deformation and failure mode. This study investigates the effects on the stress concentrator on the stress distribution and fracture characteristics of steel specimens subjected to tensile testing. Three specimens were subjected to tensile tests. Electrical resistive tensometry was used to determine the material characteristics.
