Magnetic gears are devices that transmit torque between two rotating shafts without physical contact, using magnetic forces instead of traditional mechanical teeth. Torque is transmitted purely through magnetic attraction and repulsion. If excessive torque is applied, magnetic gears slip instead of breaking. The objective of the research is to develop a magnetically geared motor wheel, used in an application where slips under overload are not allowed. For this, a research of documentary sources was done to identify existing solutions/ideas, and these ideas/solutions were organized in matrices/diagrams of solutions/ideas. This approach allowed the contrastive analysis of the solutions and the identification of a solution where slips under overload are not allowd. The solution was designed using the axiomatic design methodology.
