IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a condition of unknown etiology characterized by chronic inflammation leading to fibrosis of the affected organs and impairment of their functions. The variety of clinical manifestations makes its diagnosis a great challenge. This article presents a case study of a patient experiencing skin edema and subcutaneous tissue oedema of the eyelids as a manifestation of IgG4-RD. Treatment with glucocorticosteroids and immunosuppressive agents was administered, which led to a significant reduction in clinical manifestations and an improvement in the patient’s quality of life.
