<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>This paper sets out to explore the violence against women is a new form <italic>femicide </italic>taking into consideration the case of trafficked women. Once women arrived at their destination, suffer various kinds of never-ending violence and exploitation. Thus, in this article we have defined and demonstrated how the trafficking of women constitutes a new form of “<italic>femicide</italic>”. The analytical section of the paper is based on interviews with one hundred and ten trafficked women in Mexico. The results indicate that trafficked women are experiencing a wide range of physical and sexual violence, where they face a constant threat to life.</p></abstract>
