<abstract xml:lang="en" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>A new species of the genus <italic>Telipogon</italic> from Southern Ecuador is formally described and illustrated. This species is related to <italic>T. fritillum</italic> and <italic>T. dalstroemii</italic> but is clearly distinguished from both of them by its different petals and lip structure.</p></abstract>
