It is well known that energy systems are one of the causes of climate change, but it is less studied how climate change impacts energy systems. Due to rapid changes in climate, it is important to understand how to operate energy systems and what adaptation methods should be used for different energy systems. The main aim of this paper is to compare content and trends in scientific literature. The bibliometric method is used to analyse the scientific literature on a specific topic from the SCOPUS database. This article analyses the trend of publication, the main topics of the studies, and possible research gaps. Results show that in recent years, the number of publications on climate change impact on energy systems has rapidly increased. Also, in the last year, there has been a trend for studies that look into machine learning, weather modelling in the context of energy systems adaptation, and efficiency improvement.
