This paper analyses the climate change mitigation strategies adopted by industries from the first commitment period of Kyoto Protocol (2008) till present day (2023). A systematic literature review was conducted using the AND operator to customise articles published in Scopus database of 15 years of first commitment period of Kyoto Protocol (2009–2023). Findings show that all the climate change mitigation strategies (CCMS) identified can broadly be classified into managerial and technological. These strategies span from carbon offsets to start-up (ex. renovation in construction industries) to hydrogen as an energy source.
