Organizations are turning to unconventional frameworks in a rapidly evolving global economy to gain a competitive edge. This paper explores the concept of business reconnaissance, a strategic convergence of military reconnaissance tactics, and corporate intelligence gathering that informs proactive decision-making. The study integrates the Solution Engineering problem-solving model to demonstrate how businesses can apply disciplined intelligence methodologies to identify opportunities, anticipate threats, and optimize strategic positioning. Through a literature review and conceptual analysis, this article outlines key themes in business intelligence, ethical considerations, and the structural implementation of reconnaissance-informed strategy. Findings highlight the potential for organizations to adapt and evolve by drawing lessons from the military intelligence domain while maintaining ethical accountability and business relevance.
