The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the critical role of medical doctors in vaccine recommendation adherence. This study aimed to explore the factors influencing adherence to COVID-19 vaccine recommendations among Romanian medical doctors, one year into the vaccination campaign. We conducted a cross-sectional voluntary survey, and data from 94 physician respondents were analysed. We found that specialty, fear of adverse effects, and inflexible thinking were significant factors influencing vaccine recommendation adherence. General practitioners have higher adherence, while surgical specialists are more reluctant. Political and religious views don't associate with adherence to vaccine recommendations. These findings emphasize the importance of educational interventions to improve adherence and mitigate fear among medical doctors.
