The article describes the variety of approaches, perspectives and experiments in the field of foreign language teaching within the context of successful communication and intercultural interaction. The knowledge of the language and the evaluation of the degree of its command is inevitably linked to the knowledge of history, culture, and moral issues of people who speaks this very language.
