Dentofacial Planner Plus (DFP) is a computerised cephalometric program that enables rapid and accurate analysis of a cephalogram to aid in treatment planning. In addition, a video image of a patient’s profile can be linked to the digitised cephalogram. Manipulation of the tracing will produce corresponding changes in the video image. Simulations of orthodontic treatment or orthognathic surgery changes are therefore possible. This becomes a valuable aid in treatment planning, communication with the oral surgeon and patient education.
