With the rapid development of society and the popularization of higher education, the mental health of the higher vocational student population has been increasingly concerned by all sectors of society. Guided by the social support theory, this study proposes corresponding psychological counseling strategies, including strengthening communication between home and school, improving the mental health education curriculum system, cultivating students’ peer counseling ability, and integrating social support resources. Subsequently, the AHP (hierarchical analysis)-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was proposed, and experiments were conducted to verify the feasibility of the algorithm. The data showed that the CR values of students’ mental health knowledge cognition, mental health ideological awareness, and mental health practical ability under the algorithm were less than 0.1, which proved that the judgment matrix for evaluating the effectiveness of mental health education for higher vocational students was constructed reasonably and consistently. Then, with the support of the algorithm of AHP-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, we constructed the evaluation index system of the quality of higher vocational students’ mental health education, and based on the data of the questionnaire, we conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the quality of the teaching of the students’ mental health education courses in M school, and computed the comprehensive evaluation scores of the indexes and the dimensions. The evaluation of the teaching quality of the mental health education program for higher vocational students is 3.71, and the score is in the “good” range, which indicates that the teaching quality of the students’ mental health education program in M school is relatively good, and it proves that the path of heart health education based on the social support theory of the present study is fruitful.
