Under the background of big data, people’s requirements for college catering management are also increasing, and the integration of Internet technology into college catering management has become a key research issue. Considering the characteristics of college catering management, this paper proposes the innovative strategy of “big data + catering management” based on game theory. According to game theory, the corresponding parameters are defined, and then the game matrix between the government and cafeteria management is constructed. A case study of college food service management from the perspective of big data is conducted using game theory and data simulation software. The data show that <italic>g</italic>1 =100, <italic>b</italic>1 = 50, <italic>p</italic>1 = 80, <italic>β</italic> = 0.2, <italic>β</italic><italic>b</italic> = 20 . <italic>p</italic>2 = 40, <italic>c</italic> =100, <italic>g</italic>2 = 60, <italic>b</italic>2 = 80, <italic>p</italic>2 = 40, <italic>β</italic><italic>p</italic> = 2, found that <italic>b</italic>1 &lt; <italic>b</italic>2, <italic>g</italic>1 > <italic>g</italic>2 + <italic>β</italic><italic>b</italic>, <italic>p</italic>1 > <italic>p</italic>2 + <italic>β</italic>p + <italic>β ·c</italic> the three converge at (0,0,0), the government and the third-party platform lax supervision, the canteen is not self-discipline, the college canteen behavioral norms still need to be coordinated and supervised by the platform, and the government, as a means of promoting the development of innovation in the management of college back-office food and beverage.
