<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

<p>Two new species of <italic>Parkellus</italic> (<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="j_jofnem-2021-076_ref_020">Jairajpuri et al., 2001</xref>) from Vietnam and a population of <italic>Parkellus zschokkei</italic> (<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="j_jofnem-2021-076_ref_001">Ahmad and Jairajpuri, 2010</xref>; Menzel, 1913) from Ukraine are described, illustrated and their phylogenetic position among the Mononchida is presented. The molecular data (18S and 28S rDNA) are given for the three investigated species – first time for the genus <italic>Parkellus</italic>. <italic>Parkellus hagiangensis</italic> sp. nov. is characterized by a medium-sized buccal cavity, posterior position of the dorsal tooth located below the beginning of the pharynx, males having the ventromedian cuticular pores above and below the excretory pore, short spicules with conical proximal part; females with very faint <italic>pars refringens vaginae</italic> and small teardrop-shaped pieces, short <italic>pars distalis vaginae</italic>, the presence of small ventromedian vulval papillae. <italic>Parkellus tuyenquangensis</italic> sp. nov. is characterized by a medium-sized buccal cavity, posterior position of the dorsal tooth located above the beginning of the pharynx, males having the ventromedian cuticular pores above and below the excretory pore, medium-sized spicules with a cylindrical proximal part, very short lateral guiding pieces, females with very strongly sclerotized <italic>pars refringens vaginae</italic>, medium size teardrop-shaped pieces, short <italic>pars distalis vaginae</italic> thickened at the junction with <italic>pars refringens vaginae</italic>. The newly described species are morphologically most similar to <italic>P. parkus</italic> and <italic>P. zschokkei</italic>. An identification key to <italic>Parkellus</italic> species is presented.</p>
