The Journal Gestalt Theory is an online, open-access, and peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to fostering advancements in Gestalt-based research and applications across a variety of disciplines. By embracing a multidisciplinary approach, the journal serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas and findings that build on Gestalt principles, which emphasize the holistic nature of perception, cognition, and behavior.

The journal welcomes contributions from fields such as psychology, philosophy, pedagogy, neuroscience, art, design, education, and communications sciences among others, reflecting the broad applicability of Gestalt Theory. It contains original contributions, reviews, discussions and announcements in these fields and provides a wide overview of the current scientific research and advances in multidisciplinary gestalt-theoretical perspective. Gestalt Theory is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal. The journal has no article processing charges (APCs) nor article submission charges. The languages of the journal are English and, in motivated cases, German.
