Leadership styles have been the most important factor for HEI’s agility. Studies on educational leadership have grown significantly, but there are insufficient studies on faculty attitudes towards leadership. The purpose of this study is to explore in-depth knowledge and understandings of latent internal and external environmental factors that influence faculty attitudes towards ideal leadership. Data were collected from 1065 teaching and non-teaching staff working at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, most prestigious and largest science and engineering university in Mongolia. This research analyzed the data using thematic analysis. The result of thematic analysis suggests that HEI’s environment in Mongolia tends to be bureaucratic, highly politically motivated, and dysfunctional that create multiple barriers to running higher education institutes in market-oriented ways and hindering university agility to the changes in market and society. It is also evident that university employees dislike the current leadership and seem to have strong commitments to accept participative, transformational, and servant leaderships. This study contributes to the educational leadership literature by providing better understandings of the critical factors affecting faculty perceptions about the existing leadership and their attitudes towards ideal leadership.
This paper presents the results of a post-training survey organized by Kenzhegali Sagadiyev University of International Business (UIB) within the Development of Teachers Training for Leadership (DeSTT) project. The survey aimed to assess the effectiveness of the training provided to teachers within the DeSTT project and used a combination of sentiment analysis and content analysis to analyze the responses of participants. The results of the survey indicated that most of the participants provided positive feedback regarding the training, suggesting that it was effective in enhancing their knowledge and skills. This paper contributes to the growing body of research on the importance of professional development for teachers and highlights the value of using sentiment analysis and content analysis to assess the effectiveness of training programs.
The article substantiates the need to form the strategic competence of future teachers in postgraduate education. The authors formulated the concept of “strategic leadership competence of a future teacher” and presented the components and indicators of the competence. The effectiveness of the curriculum “Pedagogical management and management in modern school” developed and implemented in the educational process in forming the competence of strategic leadership of a future teacher is proved. Confirmation is maintained by the presented results of the study, which showed positive dynamics in the level of the researched competence formation.
Numerous reports show the relationship between sports, educational leadership processes and quality in the education system. This study highlights the importance of teacher leadership in sports and sport management as a key management objective in the complex educational system. It will be essential to identify their pedagogical leadership. We will draw the concept of a coach by selecting its main characteristics, those related and applied to its profession in the educational context. Coaching focuses on what both ourselves and others can achieve, relying on our resources and directing us towards the realisation of what we want so that we can express our true potential and detect interferences. We will analyse what is not working and preventing us from achieving our goals. We will identify changes in people and organisations to develop the potential to provide leadership and talent management training for teaching staff and teams.
The topic of leadership is extremely relevant today. The increasingly widespread belief that it is possible to acquire behaviour typical of a leader has encouraged the development of research into the determinants of leadership behaviour. Particular interest has been aroused by neuroscientific discoveries about the functioning of the brain in the light of new neuroimaging technologies. The focus on findings from neuroscience and cognitive science is the basis for the terms neuroleader and neuroleadership. This article illustrates the results of this contamination between different scientific fields.
Numerous research shows us the relationship between the management and process of educational leadership and results in the quality of the educational system internationally at the time of globalisation. That is why we will talk in this article about the commitment that the education system and universities, in particular, have to the constant development and improvement of the quality of teaching and updating of study projects, among others, and above all, of their teachers, as well as what characterises a teacher with leadership and educational leadership in a competitive and globalised system.
The article substantiates the need to form leadership competence among future teachers in the conditions of university education. The authors generalized and concretized the concept of “leadership competence” of the future teacher, defining it as a particular competence, namely the meta-competence. The research aimed to define the possible ways to form future teachers’ leadership competence in mastering the educational program “Pedagogy and Psychology.” The algorithm for future teachers’ leadership competence development is suggested in the given article.
The confirmation of the accepted hypothesis is justified by the presented results of the study, which showed positive dynamics in the level of formation of the studied competence. The effectiveness of the consistent and purposeful formation of the future teacher’s leadership competence in studying psychological and pedagogical disciplines and passing pedagogical practice has been proven.
The difference between the work of philosophical and political cadres in terms of the multiplicity of aspects that we want to consider in this article makes it essential to analyse an interdisciplinary vision to lead to the analysis of a system of professional and personalised resources within the education system and which give content to their professionalism. These skills contribute to successful performance in favour of social development and continuous “Education-Labour Market” contact. The quality of orientation, teaching and supervision will also be analysed; it is a reality that can be used in the educational system, which brings out motivations, feelings, convictions and loyalties which distinguish cadres in today’s society in an increasingly globalised system and which they ensure optimism and unity of thought and action which can be an example to strengthen leadership.
