The authors regret that there was an omission regarding the inclusion of references in the originally accepted version of the article. The omission refers mainly to two previous review papers by Skibniewski, M.J.
The corrections are as follows:
Previous sentence in the abstract „The review identified 72 papers dealing with development or application of innovative ITs“ changes into: „The review identified 72 papers dealing with development or application of innovative ITs as well as some previous literature review papers.“ At the end of the second paragraph in section 1.2 after “…or two publications per year to as much as ten publications per year.” we add the following sentence: Prior comprehensive reviews of IT applications in construction safety engineering, assurance and enforcement were also published by Skibniewski (2014a, 2014b). Two following references are included in the References section:
