The test enables the determination of key physical properties of the ground – thermal conductivity and borehole thermal resistance – which are essential for the correct sizing of the ground heat exchanger system, ensuring it meets the requirements of the building’s HVAC system. Additionally, the TRT provides valuable information regarding the technical and financial effort required for the drilling operation.
