<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p> The equilibrium of desorption of 6 cigarette brands has been established for a certain range. It is shown that a relative air humidity of 63 % is to be recommended for the tested cigarettes of the blend, straight-Virginia and Oriental type. Adjusting of Maryland cigarettes to the claimed humidity value is achieved at a relative air humidity of about 72 %. </p></abstract>
