Technology Transfer concerns the process for conceiving and implementing a new/novel application for an existing technology. It includes a range of formal and informal cooperation between technology developers and technology seekers. It is understood on different levels (e.g. technology policy, individual scientists). Technology transfer and industrial linkage can expand opportunities for education and it can lead to new sources of the research support. Analysis of the best practices on the technology transfer management including public universities have been presented in the paper.
