Based on the floor plan of the fictional New York advertising agency »Sterling Cooper«, the article deals with the fundamental conflicts of the television series »Mad Men«. The focus is on the copywriters who work on the image of the product in order to give it a story in the cycle of supply and demand. Office space and the experiences of office workers are inextricably linked in the creative process. The office, which as a place of orderly processes even seeks to generate the irrational, the creative idea, in a calculated way, becomes a hub of mystery and desire, which prove to be the actual motors of the series’ plot.
