<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>TThe length-weight relationships (LWRs) were determined for five freshwater fish species collected from Liangzi Lake, the Xi River and Longxi River in China, including <italic>Megalobrama amblycephala</italic>, <italic>Megalobrama skolkovii</italic>, <italic>Megalobrama pellegrini</italic> and <italic>Megalobrama terminalis</italic> belonging to the genus <italic>Megalobrama</italic>, as well as white Amur bream (<italic>Parabramis pekinensis</italic>) of the genus <italic>Parabramis</italic>. Three of these five species had no previous LWR estimates in the FishBase. The LWRs of hybrids from <italic>Megalobrama amblycephala</italic> ♀ × <italic>Parabramis pekinensis</italic> ♂ and <italic>Megalobrama amblycephala</italic> ♀ × <italic>Megalobrama terminalis</italic> ♂ were also reported for the first time.</p></abstract>
