Selected Scientific Papers - Journal of Civil Engineering is an international peer-reviewed journal of the Technical University of Kosice, Civil Engineering Faculty. The journal publishes original research papers of the theoretical and experimental nature within civil engineering and architecture. The topics include the following research areas:
- architectural design of buildings from initial planning and analysis to building construction,
- urban design and city planning,
- structural engineering,
- building operation and management,
- environmental engineering, climate change challenges,
- road construction technology,
- computational methods and artificial intelligence in civil engineering and architecture.
Research papers of an interdisciplinary nature that engage several of the above-mentioned areas are encouraged.
SSP - JCE is an open-access journal published twice a year. There are no publication fees for the authors.
Submission and Review process
There is no deadline for submitting the articles; authors can send their contributions anytime. Before submitting their manuscript via the journal email, the authors should ensure the following:
- the manuscript is written in the Word template available in the menu under the “For Authors” tab,
- the manuscript is original, is not submitted elsewhere, and has not been previously published.
All submitted papers will be checked for originality and then forwarded to two or more reviewers, specialists in their fields. The reviewers will evaluate the paper's objective, the research of the state of the art in the field, the adequacy of the used research methods, the potential contribution to the scientific knowledge or practice, the bibliographic style, the language, and the writing style.
After consideration, editors reserve the right to reject any submitted paper or request adjustments, even if not demanded by the reviewers.
Archiving
Sciendo archives the contents of this journal in Portico - digital long-term preservation service of scholarly books, journals and collections.
Plagiarism Policy
The editorial board is participating in a growing community of Similarity Check System's users in order to ensure that the content published is original and trustworthy. Similarity Check is a medium that allows for comprehensive manuscripts screening, aimed to eliminate plagiarism and provide a high standard and quality peer-review process.
