Sustainable urban mobility constitutes a pivotal component of sustainable development, simultaneously impacting quality of life, social equity, and environmental protection. Within this framework, performance management assumes a strategic role that transcends traditional evaluative functions, emerging as an integrative instrument for the formulation and implementation of sustainable policies. This study presents an extensive bibliometric analysis of the scientific literature published between 1976 and 2024, with a focus on the intersection of sustainable urban mobility and performance management. Utilizing VOSviewer software, the analysis identifies key research trends, international collaboration networks, and dominant actors and themes in the field. The findings reveal a marked increase in scholarly attention and the consolidation of interdisciplinary approaches, particularly emphasizing smart technologies, social equity, and participatory governance. This study offers a critical synthesis of existing research directions and proposes a conceptual framework to inform the development of future public policies and institutional strategies. Its primary contribution lies in underscoring the central role of performance management in advancing the transition towards a more efficient, equitable, and sustainable urban mobility system.
