Electrocardiography (ECG) is a vital diagnostic tool in veterinary medicine, offering insights into the cardiovascular health of animals. While the ECG values of many species are well-documented, those for reptiles, particularly turtles, are sparse. This study aims to establish baseline electrocardiographic values for clinically healthy turtles, focusing on key parameters such as heart rate, rhythm, and waveform morphology. The research includes data collected from various turtle species (aquatic and terrestrial) to identify general patterns and species-specific, habitat-specific, or gender-specific variations. The results contribute to a deeper understanding of turtle cardiovascular physiology, providing valuable reference data for veterinary professionals when diagnosing and monitoring the health of these reptiles. The study also highlights the need for further research to assess the impact of environmental and physiological factors on the ECG of turtles.
