<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

<p>The study presents general assumptions of policies related to fire protection and evacuation of public buildings. Have been defined groups of human factors that have a significant impact on the efficiency of preventive actions taken and in the event of a threat. Next, the research methodology and results of questionnaire surveys carried out in randomly selected student groups are presented. A number of management actions aimed at increasing the safety of people staying on public facilities have been identified. The article ends with conclusions from the conducted research.</p>
